Recently renovated and refurbished, Enniscorthy Castle explores the development of the Castle and town from its earliest Anglo-Norman origins (12th Century) through to the 20th century with recreations of the last resident's rooms. The exhibition also explores the 1916 Rising in Enniscorthy, as well as the work of Irish furniture designer and architect Eileen Gray (born in 1878 just outside the town).
Dunbrody Abbey
Located in Campile ; Founded in 1170 by Herve de Montmonercy on the instruction of Strongbow, de Montmonercy became the first abbot and died there in 1205. The demise of the Abbey began sometime around 1542 when Alexander Devereux, the last abbot granted the Abbey of the King, his heirs and successors. The lands and the Abbey then came into the possession of the Echingham familly in 1642 Jane Etchingham married the second Earl of Donegal whose decendants, The Chichester Family still own the lands today. The Abbey was handed over to the Department of Publlic Works in 1911 and is still maintained today by the OPW.

Carley's Bridge Potteries
Carley's Bridge Potteries is Ireland's oldest pottery, and one of the country's oldest surviving businesses. We have an uninterupted history of making earthenware pottery for over 300 years. The Pottery was founded in the 1650's by two brothers, named Carley from Cornwall, England. Seeking a suitable situation to establish a pottery, their first priority was a local supply of clay. This they found just outside Enniscorthy, in an area to which they later gave their name - 'Carley's Bridge'. About six generations ago the only daughter of one of the Carley's married a man named Owens, which is the family name to this day. The Pottery is famous for its long tradition of earthenware plant pots.
